Hello there! I am so excited to be a part of your child’s fun and memorable camp experience this summer! As a Teacher Candidate at the University of Western I bring a love of learning and a passion for working with children to our camp community. I have experience working with children grades K-12 in school, summer camp, and childcare settings. In the words of Ms. Frizzle, I can’t wait to support our campers to "take chances and get messy” in this nature-based context!

In addition to many years of homeschooling my children, I have been working with Stoney Creek Montessori School as a Montessori Support Teacher since January of 2021. I am also training as a Montessori assistant for the 3-6 years age group, and years of experience homeschooling my children. Previously, I used to be a social worker and a support counsellor with a background in dealing with sensitive and vulnerable communities. I am excited to bring these different professional experiences and a love of nature to the summer camp!

This camp benefits from my experiences as Co-Founder and previous Director of Stoney Creek Montessori School where I learned a lot about the needs of our community and the importance of nature to help our children thrive. As a local Stoney Creek mom, I am excited to provide these opportunities to build our children's curiosity and confidence while they have a blast!
